Curated by Franklin Evans, proust, time, 10 works on paper presents 10 artists who have made new work during the COVID-19 pandemic: Sue Havens, Jennifer Coates, Fay Ku, Jon Elliott, Nora Griffin, Jane Fine, Gary Petersen, Melissa Meyer, Steve Hicks, Vicki Sher Platform's guest curator Franklin Evans has organized a digital exhibition during the COVID-19 pandemic, proust, time and 10 works on paper, based on discussions about Proust with his partner, the playwright Paul David Young. Proust constructs his novels as if his narrator is trying to solve memories that he does not fully comprehend in the moment yet persistently remain with him. Seeing parallels to this thinking process for artists working through the unknown on paper centers the show. Platform was founded by Elizabeth Hazan to support fellow artists and develop curatorial projects.
